Full-Time Assistant / Prepper
BGE Grooming is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and animal-loving Pet Grooming Assistant/Prepper to join our team full-time.
This position is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the pet care industry. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, enjoys working with animals, and is interested in growing into a leadership role. We are willing to train the right candidate to become a future manager within our company.
Job Responsibilities
- Nail grinding and nail trimming
- Paw pad trimming
- Ear cleaning
- De-shedding treatments
- Bathing and blow drying dogs
- Sanitary trims
- Matting removal and shave-down preparation
- Assisting groomers with dog preparation before and after appointments
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Safely handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Rotating between prepper, bather, and front desk/reception duties as needed
- Providing exceptional customer service to pet parents
Requirements
- Must be available full-time
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays when needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an entire shift
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must live within a reasonable commuting distance
- Previous animal handling, kennel, daycare, veterinary, grooming, or customer service experience is preferred but not required
