At the Prosper Centers, our mission is to provide expertise, support, and resources that expand access and opportunity for all to thrive. Through our Health Coverage Program, we help community members enroll in affordable health insurance via the federal Marketplace. We are hiring a team of temporary, on-site staff to support our work during the Open Enrollment season from November 1 to mid-December.
Position Description
The Bilingual Client Support Specialist is a part of a team that serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking information and assistance with enrolling in affordable health insurance. No experience with health insurance is required. This is a temporary, seasonal, grant-funded position. Paid training is expected to begin in late September 2026, with the role continuing through mid-December 2026. Based on a determination by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding the Open Enrollment period, the assignment may be extended through mid-January 2027. Employment in this role is contingent upon continued grant funding and business needs, and may end sooner if funding is reduced, exhausted, or otherwise terminated. In no event will this position extend beyond the approved grant funding period.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities

Provide on-site client assistance and support by phone and in person

Answer client questions, share information, and schedule appointments

Participate in phone banking campaign to previous clients

Help determine client eligibility for Marketplace plans and financial assistance

Enter client information accurately in the REDCap database

Utilize RingCentral phone system to manage program incoming calls

Serve multilingual clients using the language line

Complete all specified paid trainings and Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification

Protect client confidentiality and PII/PHI in compliance with HIPAA policies

Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish required

Ability to provide superior customer service by phone to clients with diverse identities and needs

$20.00
