Under the direction of the administrators, the library media clerk is responsible for assisting students, parents, staff and visitors in the Media Center.
Qualifications:
Required:
1.High School diploma or general education degree
2.Proficient use of computers including knowledge and use of Google Suite and student data systems
3.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven organizational skill
4.Demonstrated success as a collaborator and proven team player
5.Demonstrated successful communication skills with students, staff, parent and community
Desired Characteristics:

Prior secretary/library experience preferred

Ability to handle many job responsibilities and prioritize duties

Experience working with elementary students preferred

Knowledge of library system management (shelf order, circulation, inventory and cataloging) preferred
Duties:
-
To provide support to the students, teachers and principal
-
To assist students, parents, staff and visitors in the Media Center
-
Ability to suggest reading material and help students and staff use print and online resources

Type correspondence, answer phones, process mail, and maintain general office files

Process and maintain all necessary paperwork for supplies, materials, equipment and inventory

Ability to plan and organize; good work habits

Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents

Perform other duties as assigned by administration
