Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle diverse driving conditions. Must be at least 25 years old.
Duties
- Operate a variety of vehicles including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers.
- Execute route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Manage manual transmission vehicles with proficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations is preferred.
- Experience in route driving and handling various types of freight.
- Knowledge of dump truck operations is a plus.
- Previous experience operating tankers or other specialized vehicles is advantageous.
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps effectively.
