JOB SUMMARY
The Clerical/Support Manager at North Mississippi Health Services plays a crucial role in managing all non-clinical functions within the clinic. They lead clerical staff, providing training and scheduling, ensuring efficient clinic operations. Additionally, they coordinate clinical documentation, utilize EMR systems for patient records, and maintain budget awareness to optimize productivity. This role is responsible for leading a team and optimizing operations within a designated department or area, ensuring productivity and effective team management.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Management:
- Manages all non-clinical functions within the clinic.
- Trains, orients, and educates clerical staff on all job duties and responsibilities and evaluates staff competencies.
- Manages clerical staff schedules and time off requests.
- Performs other clinic specific duties as assigned by the Practice Manager.
Supervision:
- Leads clerical staff to ensure efficient day-to-day clinic operations.
- Attends/Leads huddles and staff meetings.
Clinical Records:
- Coordinates handling of clinical documentation to ensure timeliness and compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies.
Computer Technology:
- Utilizes EMR systems to ensure accuracy of patient records and other pertinent data.
Cost Control:
- Maintains budget awareness and, together with the Practice Manager, endeavors to provide cost-effective operation of the clinic.
Ensures adequate staffing coverage of clerical/support operations to maintain and maximize productivity and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Associate's Degree In business or related field. Required
Licenses and Certifications
Work Experience
- 4-6 years. Willing to accept 3 years of management experience in lieu of degree.. Required
- . Previous office management and home health experience. Preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; required.
- Demonstrated management and analytical skills; preferred.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills.
- Presents a positive and capable image to office staff, physicians and the public.
- Performs essential functions with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to work efficiently and responsibly in an environment with multiple work demands and short time frames.
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact appropriately with staff, patients/families, physicians, and the public we serve.
