THE ROLE:
As a Banquet Cook at Park Hyatt Chicago, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences for weddings, galas, executive meetings, and luxury events. Working alongside the Banquet Chef and culinary leadership team, you will execute menus with precision, consistency, and attention to detail while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES (May include, but not limited to):
Prepare and execute banquet menu items according to established recipes, production schedules, and presentation standards.
Maintain exceptional mise en place and station organization to support efficient, high-quality event execution.
Ensure consistency in food quality, portioning, temperature, and presentation for banquet functions of all sizes.
Collaborate with Banquet Chefs and culinary colleagues to coordinate event production and service timelines.
Adhere to Hyatt food safety, sanitation standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Assist with product rotation, inventory management, and proper storage of food and supplies.
Support the preparation of specialty events, VIP functions, and seasonal banquet offerings.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen culture through professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Wage Information:
The hourly rate for this position is $27.33, reflective of the competitive compensation offered at Park Hyatt Chicago. This position is also eligible for overtime and premium pay under applicable circumstances.
