American Traveler is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist with broad OR experience, including vascular and orthopedic specialties, for a hospital operating room position.

Work in a hospital operating room (OR) setting

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10-hour day shifts, 4 days per week

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay; local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a local rate

On-call participation required for after-hours urgent and emergent surgical cases

CST certification required

Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required

Vascular surgery scrubbing experience required

Orthopedic surgery experience required

Broad OR experience across multiple surgical specialties strongly preferred

2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager — must be from within the past year and within the surgical specialty

License required if applicable

Serve as an integral member of the multidisciplinary surgical team in the scrub role

Prepare, handle, and manage instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures

Demonstrate understanding of procedures being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure quality patient care throughout the operative procedure

Function under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

Participate in the on-call schedule for after-hours urgent and emergent surgical cases
