As a company committed to purposeful and innovative design, we are seeking talented Electrical Engineers with leadership attributes and management expertise.
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our 6-person electrical engineering department. This is a leadership role for a licensed professional who is excited to contribute to a team, guide technical development, and participate in projects across Alaska.
Senior Electrical Engineer duties typically include:
Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated team of electrical engineers and EITs
Oversee and contribute to the design of power, lighting, and signal systems for commercial, government, and institutional projects
Collaborate with in-house architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineers
Help set technical standards, improve quality processes, and support staff development
Engage in client meetings and planning efforts to support successful projects
Design Alaska seeks these desirable attributes in Senior Electrical Engineer applicants:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineering (PE) license
5+ years of experience in building systems design, power distribution, lighting, or similar
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
Collaborative approach to problem-solving and project delivery
Commitment to high quality project completion
