Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Upgrade & maintain calibration system for gages.
Gage calibration with periodical layouts.
Gage maintenance and minor repairs.
Daily gage release.
New gage layouts, correlations, GR & R studies, and releases.
Documentation on all gage activities (i.e., layout, repairs, correlations, etc.)
Implement computer control for calibrations.
Order department supplies
Complete outside vendor calibrations, sometime entails collecting or dropping off gages at vendors
Perform other assignments as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School graduate or GED required.
- Must be familiar with standard quality assurance instruments and gages.
Ability to work independently.
Must have good math background, algebra is a must.
Should be mechanically inclined.
Ability to work overtime as needed to support manufacturing needs.
Must understand layout techniques, operations, and instruments.
Able to understand and read blueprints.
Must have knowledge of data base software.
Ability to lift 35 lbs. at a maximum and the ability to push or pull object weighing up to 90 lbs.
