Under direction of the Life Enrichment Director Coordinator this position assists with execution of programs for the Robson Senior Living Community. Will lead/conduct group individual activities help track participation, set up clean of events. Duties will include contact with residents. May assist the department with communication materials such as daily announcements bulletin board postings any other administrative job duties associated with the Life Enrichment Department. Job duties can include weekends, evenings holidays. Team Members working in the Senior Living division may directly or indirectly be exposed to infectious diseases /or biological hazards. Performs other job duties as assigned
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides promotes an active aging adventure through a variety of experiences which embrace lifestyle choices engagement throughout our community. Be able to teach lead a variety of group individual activity/fitness events throughout the community. Gather data through participation tracking, resident annual life enrichment assessments, interest assessment
- senior fitness test. Dutiesinvolve contact with the resident populations to ensure their experience at the activities/fitness classes/events meets their expectations. Job tasks may include set up/clean up at events or working with vendors to ensure items are delivered/received for successful execution of the event/activity/fitness class etc.
Assists the director coordinator with articles for newsletters/calendars any other materials the Life Enrichment Department may generate such as daily announcements- event flyers. Lead fitness center equipment orientations for residents.
- May act as a chaperone at scheduled activities away from the community
Attend in services - /or workshops as directed by the Director
Provide reminders of activities through one on one invites, phone calls - /or distribution of flyers.
- Monitor resident’s activities in the absence of the Director or assistant
- Holiday event decorating
Relevant work experience
- fitness or activity certifications are helpful but not required.
- Obtain or willing to obtain CPR, First Aid Certifications.
Computer experience in Word, Publisher,- Excel
