Schedule: 20 hours per week, school year position
Reports To: Director of Student, Staff, and Community Engagement
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing clerical, communication, data-entry, and family-engagement support to the Office of Student, Staff, and Community Engagement under the direction of the Director.
Strong computer, data-entry, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records, work effectively with students, staff, families, and community partners, and assist families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Experience coordinating interpretation and translation services preferred. Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred.

Provide administrative and clerical support to the Director of Student, Staff, and Community Engagement.

Serve as a welcoming point of contact for students, staff, families, community members, and partner organizations.

Assist families in navigating district procedures, programs, communications, and available school or community resources.

Respond to routine telephone calls, emails, correspondence, and requests for information, referring sensitive or specialized matters to the appropriate staff member.

Coordinate interpretation and translation services for district meetings, events, documents, and family communications.

Maintain accurate records of translation requests, family outreach, community partnerships, events, and office activities.

Enter, update, review, and organize information in district databases, spreadsheets, forms, and electronic filing systems.

Compile data and prepare reports, contact lists, correspondence, presentations, surveys, and other office materials.

Schedule meetings and appointments and assist with the coordination of family, staff, and community-engagement events.

Maintain confidential student, family, and staff information in accordance with district policies and applicable laws.

Communicate and coordinate with school offices, district departments, community organizations, vendors, and outside service providers.

Assist with purchasing, invoices, supplies, mailings, and other routine office operations.

Demonstrate professionalism, cultural responsiveness, discretion, and respect in all interactions.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student, Staff, and Community Engagement.
Salary and benefits per the Secretarial Contract.
Salary range: $26.74 - $34.67, pending School Committee approval.
