Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual to join our team as a Barback and Bartender. In this dual role, you will be the backbone of our bar operations, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests by maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar environment while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages to ensure smooth service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area by cleaning surfaces, washing glassware, and managing bar cleaning tasks in accordance with food service bar safety compliance standards
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to keep the venue tidy and inviting
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely and efficiently
- Support food preparation activities when needed, including basic food handling and setup for events or service periods
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling, order processing, and transaction accuracy
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate venue beverage service and ensure excellent customer experiences
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated bar experience or bartender training with knowledge of venue beverage service techniques
- Strong cleaning skills with an understanding of bar cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient cash handling and order processing
- Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and team members professionally
- Experience with food industry standards, banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and food service bar safety compliance requirements
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction management
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous but not required
