Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Store Helper to join our dynamic retail team! Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory control by managing stock levels, conducting regular inventory checks, and using RF scanners for accurate tracking.
- Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring safe handling of products.
- Stock shelves, produce sections, and storage areas with merchandise, maintaining an attractive and accessible layout.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by organizing incoming deliveries and preparing outgoing orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store environment through routine cleaning, packaging, and merchandising tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating items, and offering friendly support.
- Operate retail equipment including cash registers for cashiering duties while applying retail math skills for accurate transactions.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management systems is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or RF scanners is a plus; certification is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain a tidy workspace.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages are desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to enhance customer interactions in multilingual communities.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, retail sales techniques, and merchandising practices is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required in a busy retail environment.
