Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Part-Time After School Care Provider in our Pre-K Classroom, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This role offers an exciting opportunity to positively influence early childhood development by facilitating fun, educational activities and supervising children during after-school hours. Duties
- Supervise and engage Pre-K children in structured and unstructured activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction.
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that support childhood development milestones.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to maintain a respectful and safe environment.
- Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR procedures, and AED operation when necessary.
- Facilitate outdoor play and recreational activities, encouraging physical activity and outdoor exploration.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members regarding children's progress and needs.
- Assist with snack time, bathroom routines, and other daily care responsibilities to support children's comfort and well-being.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in childcare, preschool, camp settings, or youth programs is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols is required; ongoing training provided if necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise children safely while fostering a positive learning environment.
- Experience with special education or behavior management techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors comfortably for extended periods during outdoor activities.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to lead youth group activities and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
