Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Deliver targeted interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to promote healing and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist.
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients for ongoing care or home exercise programs post-treatment.
- Educate patients and caregivers on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention, and activity modifications to enhance recovery outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical terminology records, treatment logs, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient, outpatient, orthopedics, and skilled nursing facility care settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid certification or license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Proven experience in inpatient or skilled nursing facility environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques and other modalities.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics.
Pay: From $39.00 per hour
