We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Custodian / Hospital Support Assistant who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional environment. This individual will play a critical role in supporting hospital operations by ensuring our facility remains sanitary, stocked, and prepared for patient care while also assisting with basic patient support tasks as needed.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying active, takes initiative, works independently, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a medical environment.
What You'll DoFacility Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain all flooring surfaces
- Clean walls, doors, windows, counters, tables, and other high-touch surfaces
- Remove trash, recycling, and biohazard waste in accordance with hospital protocols
- Maintain laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and stocking linens
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies throughout the hospital
- Assist with organizing storage areas and maintaining inventory of housekeeping supplies
- Help maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility, both inside and outside
- Empty exterior waste receptacles and assist with basic groundskeeping tasks, including watering plants
Hospital Support
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for incoming patients
- Stock medical and office supplies throughout the hospital
- Assist with kennel cleaning and patient comfort care
- Support the veterinary team with patient walking, feeding, and basic husbandry tasks as directed
- Assist with special cleaning projects and hospital events as needed

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred
- Veterinary, kennel, boarding, or animal care experience is a plus
- Experience working in a hospital, medical facility, or healthcare environment is highly desirable
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the workday
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds with or without accommodation
- Ability to use step ladders and cleaning equipment safely
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning and housekeeping tasks

Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- Occasional overtime and weekend coverage as needed
Compensation
$14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on experience
