Job Title: Vessel Welder – 1st Shift, 2nd shift, and Weekend shift
Job Description
This role prepares and welds components into pressure vessel and structural assemblies by following production orders, welding procedures, and quality standards. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, interpret blueprints and welding procedure specifications, and contribute ideas to improve efficiency and quality in a clean, organized weld and machine shop environment.
Responsibilities

Follow production orders to prepare parts and weld components into complete assemblies.

Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel components for pressure vessels, pressure tanks, pipe, and structural fabrications.

Execute welds in strict accordance with company procedures, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and documentation.

Interpret and apply drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.

Carry out welding and fabrication operations including cutting, punching, grinding, fitting, and assembly.

Use tools such as tape measures, press brakes, and plasma cutting equipment to prepare and form materials.

Perform pressure vessel and pipe welding in line with ASME standards and applicable certifications.

Inspect welds and assemblies to ensure they meet defined quality standards and dimensional requirements.

Propose new methods, procedures, or equipment to improve efficiency, quality, and safety in the welding and fabrication process.

Collaborate with team members in a weld shop and machine shop environment to meet production goals and schedules.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all shop and safety procedures.

Participate in continuous improvement activities and contribute to a team-oriented, problem-solving culture.
Essential Skills
-
At least 3 to 5 years of welding experience, including MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel.

2 to 5 years of MIG and TIG welding specifically on carbon steel components.

2 to 5 years of blueprint reading and utilization in a fabrication environment.

2 to 5 years of welding and fabrication experience including cutting, punching, and grinding.

Experience welding pipe or pressure vessels and pressure tanks.
-
Experience with structural welding and fabrication.

Experience with welding certifications in accordance with ASME standards.

Ability to read and apply welding procedure specifications (WPS).

Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints accurately.

Proficiency using fabrication tools such as tape measures, press brakes, and plasma cutting equipment.

Strong aptitude for problem solving in a production and fabrication setting.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a weld and machine shop environment.

Methodical, organized, and precise approach to work and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, comfortable, and organized weld shop and machine shop environment. You work on a 1st shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., using equipment such as MIG and TIG welding machines, press brakes, plasma cutting tools, and standard fabrication tools. The facility emphasizes a team-oriented, continuous improvement culture where a calm and focused atmosphere is maintained to support high-quality work and safety.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $60320.00/yr.
