Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and repair, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves diagnosing and repairing various vehicle issues, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and customer expectations.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to oil changes, brake replacements, and engine diagnostics.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to carry out repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate testing equipment and techniques.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technology and repair techniques through continuous learning and training.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge related to vehicles.
- Proficiency in diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Experience using various power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks independently as well as part of a team.
- Welding skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive technology are preferred.
