Position Overview
R & H Mechanical is looking for a dependable and motivated HVAC Apprentice Installer to join our growing team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to start a long-term career in the HVAC trade. You’ll work alongside experienced installers, gaining hands-on training and real-world experience installing residential and commercial HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead installers with installation of HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and ductwork
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
- Learn to read blueprints and installation specifications
- Maintain clean and organized job sites and company vehicles
- Support team members to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with customers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong interest in HVAC or skilled trades
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to report to job sites
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude
Preferred (Not Required)
- Enrollment in or completion of a trade school program
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- EPA certification (or willingness to obtain)
