Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive SAT math instruction through engaging lessons that simplify complex concepts and foster understanding.
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with test preparation course standards and individual student needs.
- Provide targeted ACT preparation guidance and test-taking skills tutoring to enhance overall student performance.
- Utilize educational technology integration tools to create interactive lessons and track student progress effectively.
- Conduct both in-person and online tutoring sessions, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles and platforms.
- Assess student strengths and areas for improvement through regular evaluations and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Support students in building confidence, time management skills, and strategic approaches for standardized testing success.
Skills
- Proven experience working with high schoolers in a tutoring or classroom setting, especially in test preparation environments.
- Strong knowledge of SAT math content, test-taking strategies, and ACT preparation techniques.
- Skilled in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management for teenage learners.
- Experience with educational technology tools and online tutoring platforms to facilitate remote learning sessions.
- Excellent presentation skills, clear communication, and the ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with working with students on test-taking skills tutoring, curriculum development, and writing skills enhancement.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment that encourages active participation and academic growth.
