Job Summary
The individual in this role would be responsible for providing orthopaedic and sports medicine services including, assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. Schedule hours Monday thru Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with Friday hours 8:30 am to 12:00pm.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate new patient consultation and health history review
- Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
- Order and administer tests including blood work
- Review and interpret test results
- Diagnoses health problems
- Detect changes in patient condition
- Administer medications
- Operate medical equipment
- Recommend further treatment options or future appointments if needed
- Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
- Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
- Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, condition changes, etc.
- Consult with other healthcare professionals as needed
- Deliver quality orthopaedic care while complying with company policies, safety regulations, and productivity metrics
Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Requirements and Qualifications
- Master’s degree required
- Current state nurse practitioner/physician assistant license required
- Strong knowledge base of HIPAA and OSHA required
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patient, compassionate nature
- Ability to operate as part of a team
- Proficiency in medical instruments and equipment
- Must be familiar with medical charting system
- Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems preferred
- Prescriptive authorization required
- Disease prevention knowledge required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
