ECO Finishing is looking for Waste Water Treatment Operator for its third shift, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
Position Overview
The Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the wastewater treatment system, ensuring that all wastewater is discharged within compliance of all local and federal agencies’ regulations. Because of the nature of the position, they will be handling hazardous substances daily while maintaining a safe working environment.
$2,000.00 Hiring Bonus! $1,000 after 90 days, and $1,000 after 180 days.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Proper labeling of hazardous waste storage containers and satellite containers

Operate on-site treatment system for hazardous waste

Prepare solid chemical waste for shipment to off-site disposal facilities

Maintain updated chemical supplies and waste inventory information

Make chemical additions and perform tank chemical maintenance duties

Reports to management on activities and issues

Other duties and responsibilities as requested and needed
Requirements and Skills:
-
Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred

Working understanding of basic chemistry is preferred

Ability to learn how to operate an atomic absorption spectrophotometer

Familiarity with proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials

Company and job-specific training will be provided as needed throughout employment

Ability to work well and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.

Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions

Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record

High school diploma

Forklift operation certification is required

This is a safety-sensitive position, as defined in section 181.950, subdivision 13, subject to drug and alcohol testing provisions in sections 181.950 to 181.957.

Work Environment

Manufacturing/distribution facility environment.

Exposure to plant and warehouse environment including heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and loud noise

Exposure to moving equipment throughout the factory or warehouse

Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety goggles, hearing protection, steel-toed work boots, safety gloves, respirator.
