Job Title: In Store parts man
Job Responsibility: To manage the dealership store
General Function:
1. Represent the dealership in store sales and service
2. Manage inventory movement in and out of dealership
3. Handle verbal and written communications pertinent to dealership
4. Perform inventory duties as per dealership policy
5. Sell to walk-in trade and by telephone.
a. Must be familiar with features and benefits of DeLaval milking equipment and supplies (after training)
6. Route questions to the appropriate co-worker
Specific Functions:
1. Inventory Control System
a. Make-up orders for merchandise and literature for dealer’s signature
b. Check-in shipments of merchandise and check items received against orders, bill of lading and back-order list
c. Check-out merchandise sold
d. Make spot checks on inventory checked-out against sales tickets and vehicle inventory
e. Maintain inventory control system as per dealership policy
f. Tag and return items to the company – follow-up on credit received.
2. Store sales and Service
a. Sell supplies and equipment to the “walk in” trade
b. Record all prospects and relay information to appropriate dealership department
c. Perform minor equipment service on items brought into the store for repair. Maintain adequate stock or rebuilt “loaner” equipment.
3. Communication
a. Answer telephone and log calls
b. Take care of correspondence according to dealership policy
c. Relay information from customers to the appropriate dealership person.
Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
