**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented Licensed Associate Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical skills, good mental health ethics and boundaries, willing to grow a caseload and learn private practice work. EMDR trained and/or experience with kids and teens is a plus and a bonus. Excellent supervision will be provided consistently to work towards independent licensure hours; provided by Peter Tumolo, LPC, board certified supervisor and EMDR Consultant.
**Experience:**
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) / Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Pay: $44.73 - $49.30 per hour

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment strategies
- Provide individual, group, or family counseling sessions focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and behavioral change
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) to document progress, treatment plans, and interventions
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Valid licensure or certification as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent in the respective jurisdiction
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health and related treatments
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate documentation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse client populations.
- Experience with children and teen clients is preferred
- EMDR trained or interested in getting trained is preferred
