Job Description
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist I to perform inventory management activities, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, material handling, warehouse operations, quality control reviews, and inventory system maintenance. This position will be full-time contract and onsite. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
What You’ll Do
Perform inventory management activities including serialization of parts, inventory threshold monitoring, stock tracking, inventory audits, and quality control reviews
Identify inventory discrepancies within the Maintenance Online Management System (MOMS) and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity
Maintain inventory levels of new and repaired parts to support maintenance operations and prevent equipment downtime
Receive, inspect, verify, and track equipment and inventory deliveries from vendors
Operate computer systems to order, track, receive, and manage spare parts inventories
Assemble and prepare orders for shipment to internal customers and external vendors
Assist with deployment of inventory and equipment for new site installations and large-scale projects
Provide customer service and inventory support to field operations personnel and departmental staff
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to maintain acceptable supply balances
Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, including inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and troubleshooting of peripheral devices
Complete Maintenance Action Forms (MAF), Preventive Maintenance Action Forms (PAF), and Shop Action Forms (SAF) to document maintenance activities and inventory usage
Maintain security and accountability of all department property and inventory assets
Follow OSHA safety standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), material handling procedures, workplace housekeeping, and lockout/tagout practices
Drive department vehicles as required and operate warehouse equipment safely
Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Required:
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and workplace safety practices
Experience with material handling, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and picking/packing processes
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Ability to identify and recognize equipment components and parts
Experience using hand tools and warehouse equipment
Ability to operate large box trucks (non-CDL), vehicles with trailer attachments, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
Knowledge of inventory management and maintenance tracking systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work at heights of up to 30 feet
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Must possess and maintain a valid Class E Driver’s License
Must obtain and complete the OSHA 10-Hour Safety Course within three months of hire
Availability to participate in on-call support after normal business hours
Ability to travel overnight as required
Preferred:
Previous experience working in warehouse, logistics, inventory management, or maintenance operations environments
Experience utilizing computerized inventory management systems such as MOMS
Prior experience supporting maintenance, transportation, or field operations teams
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet when required
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling activities
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and monitor
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and vehicles in both indoor and outdoor environments

$22 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
