Conservation Nebraska protects our state's natural legacy. The Renew Nebraska program supports clean energy development through public education, stakeholder relationship-building, and advocacy for responsible siting practices.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is well networked in the region of their home community, and has adept interpersonal and relationship-building skills. We are looking for someone who is a team player, detail-oriented, results-driven, and self-motivated. Knowledge and understanding of energy resources and its development is preferred, but not required. To succeed in this role, you will excel in these areas:

The Renew Nebraska Program Manager will report directly to the Renew Nebraska Program Director and will work closely with other Renew Nebraska Program staff.
Core Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with key actors in state—policy makers, NGOs, industry execs, leading experts on the issue, and constituents
- Supervise volunteers, ensure staff and program are meeting the program work plan and goals
- Support workplan and budget development
- Lead implementation of campaigns to achieve organizational goals
- Organize networks of partners that align with assigned campaigns’ goals
- Stay informed of best planning and zoning practices pertaining to energy development
- Stay informed of the policies and priorities of the energy industry in Nebraska and the SPP region
- Research and write resources related to campaigns, letters of support, editorials, etc.
- Work with coalition partners to advance program objectives
- Travel in-state to accomplish goals of the organization
- Other activities as directed
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in Organizational skills, or outreach preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational management skills.
- Energy industry expertise is a plus, but not required.
Location & Conditions
- This position will be located in an assigned active priority area as determined by Conservation Nebraska and dependent upon the applicant’s location. Seeking candidates located in Northeast Nebraska and South Central Nebraska. Occasional travel to Conservation Nebraska’s primary office in Lincoln is required.
- Full-time; requires occasional evenings and weekends.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 with opportunity for growth
Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance (50% health premium covered, 100% dental/vision), SIMPLE IRA (2% match), paid time off, and flexible schedule.
