Job Description
This role is responsible for the Alive Drop-in Program at the Aurora location. This includes planning, marketing, and executing teen activities, particularly during free teen drop-in hours. Most importantly, they develop critical, long-lasting relationships with local teens who participate in Alive Center activities, serving as a role model and mentor. Work with the Program Director for Teen-Led, Teen-Driven initiatives during drop-in, and assist with administrative tasks, including check-in and check-out of teens, and maintaining the monthly attendance calendar for Aurora.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Drop-in Supervision
- Supervise teen drop-in hours 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm, and including some evenings and weekends
- Plan/execute 5 free activities per week for teen drop-in hours (athletics, game tournaments, arts & crafts, etc)
- Plan and execute one funnel (special) event each month.
- Ensure that teens clean up after themselves and maintain a clean space
- Maintain appropriate discipline with teens & ensure that all rules are met and followed
- Mentor Teen-led programs as determined by the Director (i.e., Teen Advisory Board)
- Able to maintain positive relationships with parents and community members
Teen Program Coordination & Administration
- Checking in & out youth to drop-in, ATI programs, TAB, and other programs throughout the center
- Responsible for the accurate reporting of program activities in the monthly attendance calendar
- Attend Alive Center teen events and other tabling events in the communities, representing Alive Center
- Responsible for marketing/highlighting drop-in activities and events using social media outlets, flyers, and community outreach.
- All programs listed and tracked in DASH and external/internal calendars
- Assist the Program Director with data collection and analysis as needed
Requirements for the Position
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- At least 2-3 years working directly with youth in a camp or program setting
- Bachelor's degree preferred in social work, psychology, recreation management, education, or related field.

Pay: $20.33 - $20.76 per hour
