We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Foreman to lead commercial and industrial underground plumbing and utility projects across multiple states.
This position REQUIRES TRAVEL. Our typical schedule is 3 weeks on the road, 1 week home.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing crews, operating heavy equipment, reading plans, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise field crews on commercial and industrial job sites
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily job site activities
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors as needed
Perform and oversee underground plumbing and utility installations
Operate heavy equipment including mini excavators, skid steers, trenchers, and other job site equipment
Perform saw cutting, excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation
Ensure all work complies with project specifications, safety regulations, and applicable codes
Maintain accurate daily reports, job progress updates, and documentation
Train, mentor, and motivate crew members
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment
Travel to project sites across multiple states
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of commercial construction or underground utility experience
Previous experience as a Foreman, Superintendent, or Crew Leader
Extensive experience operating heavy equipment (mini excavator, skid steer, excavator, trencher, etc.)
Commercial plumbing and underground piping experience
Experience with concrete saw cutting and demolition
Knowledge of excavation safety and trench protection
OSHA 30 Certification
Journeyman or Master Plumber License (preferred but not required)
CDL (preferred but not required)
Requirements
Previous leadership or crew management experience
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to travel for extended periods (typically 3 weeks out, 1 week home)
Strong knowledge of underground utility construction, excavation, and commercial plumbing practices
Ability to read blueprints and coordinate work from project plans
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism
