Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of patient needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Assist with tube feeding and ensure proper infection control practices are followed.
- Provide support in emergency medicine situations, demonstrating quick thinking and effective response.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health records systems such as Epic.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Engage with children and their families, providing education and support as needed.
- Perform suture removal and other minor procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in nursing home settings or memory care preferred.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and best practices.
- Proficient in medication administration and patient assessment techniques.
- Previous experience working with children is a plus.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
