RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform duties of a pharmacy technician in a time efficient and caring manner.
- Perform data entry, bill insurance, troubleshoot & problem solve, fill prescriptions, and help maintain pharmacy records & paperwork,
- Understand and follow national and state laws and regulations.
- Read and follow company policies and procedures.
- Assist with maintaining the store by keeping it clean and in order.
- Assist in inventory management processes including: ordering, returns, restocking shelves, checking for expired returns, and physical inventory preparation.
- Ring up customers, assist customers to find products on sales floor, and provide deliveries as requested by management.
- Readiness and willingness to learn new skills such as compounding, adherence packaging, medication sync, etc.
- Any and all tasks, duties, and responsibilities requested by pharmacist or management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Capable of providing “Top Notch” customer service, the highest level of customer care.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Ability to pass drug test.
- Ability to work during our business hours and limited times before and after for staff meetings, change of hours, deliveries, etc.
- Accuracy and constant attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new things and grow skills as a technician over your career.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers, management, physician offices, and patients in a professional way.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS
- Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred, but exceptions may be made for applicants new to the field who show great work ethic and potential.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
