Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with developmental disabilities and possess a strong desire to improve the quality of life for those in their care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within the home or community setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
- Monitor patients’ health and report any changes or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility and transportation.
- Administer CPR or first aid when necessary, following established protocols.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of patient progress.
Experience
- Previous experience in home community care or group home settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with direct support services for individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- A caring attitude, patience, and empathy are essential qualities for success in this role.
