Established child care centers in Queens, NY are hiring for preschool lead teachers. We are hiring a 3K lead teacher in Flushing and a 2-year-olds classroom lead teacher in Fresh Meadows, Queens. The position will start at the end of August. 2026. We are seeking passionate and dedicated preschool teachers to join our educational team.
The ideal lead candidates should have working experience with ages 1-4 year old. The ideal candidates should be loving and motivated to learn.

Minimum Education Requirement For Lead Teacher:
- AA degree in education or BA in education with 90 credits or more
- Minimum one year of work experience with preschoolers
- Certified in early childhood grades is a plus
Minimum Education Requirement For teaching assistants:
- High school diplomas or GED, AA or BA preferred in the related field preferred.
- minimum one year experience in the classroom
The goal of teachers at Rainbow CDC is to provide a warm, nurturing, safe, and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected. To this end the specific responsibilities included, but are not limited to the following:
1) Protects the safety of all children in the center.
2) Directly supervises children at all times.
3) Use positive phrasing with children.
4) Communicates frequently with children throughout the day, naming objects, actions, using who, what, when, where. and why, and open-ended questions.
5) Exhibits behavior management consistent with Rainbow CDC philosophy, including reflecting children's feelings, approaching children to speak with them, directing comments toward children's behavior, not at the children themselves, etc.
6) Co-plays/interacts with children during play activities both indoors and on the playground.
7) Treats each child with dignity and respect, recognizing the cultural and socio-economic diversity of the population.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
