Equity Staffing Group is seeking a
Pharmacy Floor Technician to join a fast-paced pharmacy operations team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician who thrives in a production environment and is committed to accuracy, quality, and patient safety. Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, you'll play a vital role in preparing prescription medications for final verification while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescription medications for pharmacist verification.
- Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
- Pull medications from shelving and prepack storage areas.
- Package medications and products for distribution.
- Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications during slower production periods.
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy.
- Process returned medications and recycle or dispose of products according to established procedures.
- Notify the pharmacist of any medications or products that do not scan properly.
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and replenish inventory and supplies as needed.
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines and applicable federal, state, and company regulations.
- Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
- Work overtime, holidays, and rotating weekends as business needs require.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active and unrestricted Ohio Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred:
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and sit throughout the workday.
- Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods (7-10 hours).
- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle medications and operate equipment.
- Lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Strong close vision and attention to detail for reading labels and medication information.
- Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a busy pharmacy environment.
