American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a cardiac cath lab position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings.

Work setting includes both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab environments at a 562-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital

No IR (interventional radiology) cases included in this role

Patient population consists of middle and older adults

Procedures include cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement/removal, rotablator atherectomy, cardiac implant closure device, and diagnostic adult catheterizations

Responsibilities include equipment setup, scrubbing to maintain sterile field, room circulation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias

Charting is done in Cerner, which is required

Shift options are 4x12 or 3x12 day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Candidates will work 2–3 weekends per contract

On-call is required on a rotating basis with staff and agency; frequency is flexible based on census — a dedicated call team is in place

Contract length is flexible at 13 or 26 weeks

Minimum of 1 year of cath lab experience required

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS (CCI); ARRT (R) preferred

Active professional license required; license required if applicable

Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, IABP, rotablator atherectomy, left/right heart catheterization, and implant closure devices

Experience with sterile technique, isolation precautions, and scrub procedures required

Cerner EMR experience required

SSN and DOB required for consideration

AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards are not accepted

Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility is required for all travelers

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility system as permanent or PRN employees must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Travel pairs are not accepted

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Up to 5 non-holiday RTO days may be requested; additional RTO requires facility approval

Scrubs are provided

Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation

Day 1 orientation is virtual and completed from home; all assigned modules must be completed by 4:00 PM CST on Day 1
