Murphy & Childers, P.C. is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Paralegal to join our estate administration team. The ideal candidate is dependable, client-focused, and works efficiently within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently throughout all stages of estate administration. This role involves direct client interaction with all legal decisions deferred to the attorney.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information
- Prepare, draft, and proofread legal documents and correspondence with a high level of accuracy
- Create and maintain organized, up-to-date case files
- Create and manage Excel spreadsheets, including data entry and use of basic formulas
- Review, edit, and manage PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, and handle estate administration tasks
Qualifications & Skills
- Prior experience as a Paralegal and/or Legal Assistant
- Ability to work independently with clients while deferring legal decisions to the attorney
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
- Effective conflict management and interpersonal communication skills
- Client-focused approach with a professional and positive demeanor
- Basic knowledge of financial documents, including bank statement review and reconciliation
- Familiarity with Lackner 6-in-1 software is preferred

- Job Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekends and most holidays off
