Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Clear and bus tables promptly to maintain a clean dining environment
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or equipment within the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, floors, and storage areas to uphold kitchen health and safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Basic knife skills or familiarity with kitchen tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning and sanitation procedures
