The Donor Stewardship Specialist will serve as a member of the Office of Development team and will play a key role in donor stewardship and fund management. The Donor Stewardship Specialist will work closely with the Development team and University colleagues to organize and review data to facilitate decision-making in support of engagement and stewardship strategies. This individual will identify and implement best practices to ensure that agreements and reporting are kept in University standards and meet donor expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Annual Statements to donors
- Deliver Monthly Fund Reports to appropriate colleges/departments
- Work on gift agreements/scholarship agreements
- Implement new donor recognition letters at all levels
- Ensure all contributions are receipted in a timely manner
- Produce and mail all monthly pledge reminders and recurring credit card donor reminders
- Collaborate with Donor Relations on endowment reports, impact reports, donor/campus stories, etc. Gather all necessary data requested for those by connecting with Foundation Accounting, appropriate Colleges/Departments, Raiser’s Edge system, etc.
- Quarterly review of all Foundation fund administration. Work with Development Officers and other Fund Administrators on fund purpose and utilization.
- Assist in the process of awarding Foundation Scholarships each academic year. Work with all awarding parties and Academic Works manager in notification of awarding amount memos as well as what scholarship have not been awarded and need awarding throughout the academic year.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of two years of related work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of constituents
- Excellent computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
1. Two to five years of experience in fundraising, donor stewardship or customer services fields
