Responsibilities
- Engage with customers both inside the store and through outside sales efforts to understand their flooring needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice on flooring materials, layout design, lighting options, and renovation solutions tailored to each client’s project.
- Conduct product demonstrations and create detailed sketches or layouts using tools like Roomvo to help clients visualize their spaces.
- Build strong customer relationships through personalized service, upselling premium products, and offering remodeling sales insights.
- Negotiate pricing, deal closing, and terms of sale while maintaining a focus on high-end sales standards.
- Assist with merchandising, stock management, and maintaining an organized showroom that highlights flooring options and related products.
- Utilize QuickBooks for client management, sales tracking, and order processing.
- Collaborate with contractors or clients during remodeling projects to ensure proper installation procedures are followed and maintenance needs are addressed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales within the construction, renovation, or interior design industries.
- Strong technical proficiency with QuickBooks, measuring, and estimating
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals effectively in high-end sales environments.
- Knowledge of flooring materials, layout design principles, lighting design concepts, and remodeling processes is not necessary but helpful
- Construction experience or familiarity with renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly across different client needs.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for estimating costs, measurements, and material quantities accurately.
- Ability to work both independently during outside sales activities and collaboratively within a team setting.
