Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to maintain and repair our Class 6, 7, and 8 fleet. This role is ideal for a technician who can work front to back, top to bottom, and is comfortable with diagnostics, wiring, hydraulics, and fabrication.
You’ll be responsible for keeping our fleet reliable, safe, and ready to work. This is a hands-on role for a technician who takes pride in quality repairs and preventative maintenance. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on Class 6–8 trucks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Use computer-based diagnostic tools
- Perform general diesel repairs from engine to drivetrain
- Assist with wrecker body installation, repair, and mounting
- Welding and fabrication (preferred)
- Maintain detailed, accurate service records
- Ensure work meets safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a diesel technician or heavy-duty mechanic
- Strong diagnostic skills (computer-based systems required)
- Knowledge of wiring, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Welding/fabrication experience is a strong plus
- Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and MVR check
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift
- 10-hour shifts
- Overtime available
