Lead Ballet Educator (Students 6 months to 8 Years) -

Tutu School, a collection of boutique ballet studios with 3 area locations, is seeking 2 dynamic, creative, and reliable Lead Teachers to join our team. Our classes blend classical ballet foundations with storytelling, imagination, and play — specifically tailored to the youngest dancers. We’re looking for instructors who can bring that magic to life in our best in class environment.
WORK AVAILABLE
W2, Year-round, Part Time, Lead Teacher position.
Training provided and starts immediately; teaching shifts begin September or as soon as training is completed.
NOTE - not hiring seasonal only teachers
Shifts:
- Sundays 9am - 12pm
- Wednesdays 4pm-7pm
- Additional hours depending on your availability
- Magic Maker On-Call Opportunities: Subbings and Special Events (birthday parties, ballet playdates, fairs & festivals)
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Tutu School, you’ll guide our youngest dancers, and often their caregivers, through a thoughtfully crafted curriculum that balances ballet technique and creative movement. Every day is a performance at Tutu School!
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

- You are energetic, playful, and confident leading a room of very young children
- You are reliable, loyal, and professional — parents/ teammates can count on you.
- You have excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
- You thrive on a variety of tasks - customer service, and sales sound fun.
- You are committed to nurturing both the big feelings and dreams of little dancers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong background in ballet basics- 5 years
- Teaching experience with young children (ages 6 months–8 years) – 3 years
- Familiarity with classroom management and child development concepts
- Experience Lesson Planning or Following a Curriculum
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weekly Lesson planning within our curriculum guidelines
- Lead creative ballet classes with excellent classroom management
- Open and close the studio
- Customer service & retail checkout
- Build caring relationships with students and families
- Participate in twice yearly recitals (memorize & lead simple choreography)
- Contribute to subbing and special events occassionally
