Overview
This route is 7 hours per day Monday through Friday, and one 3 hour shift every other Saturday. With extra weekend shifts available. The Monday through Friday will be 12:30p.m. to around 7p.m. sometimes a half hour or so later. The Saturday shift is normally 3:30p.m. to about 5:30p.m. but will be guaranteed pay for 3 hours per shift. The pay will start at $18.00 per hour and will increase to $19.00 per hour after a 90 day probationary period.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks to transport goods.
- Operate a pallet jack (this will be taught)
- Properly secure loads (this will be taught)
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical checks of vehicles to ensure optimal safety and performance. (this will be taught, but some knowledge is prefered)
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe journeys at all times.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance schedules and report any mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance team.
- Support logistical operations such as delivery runs or scheduled transportation services with efficiency and professionalism.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes.
Requirements
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Clean drug screening
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse groups of people
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and mechanical troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Box truck driving experience is a plus
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
