Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Location: Honolulu, HI
Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $24/hour
Experience:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.

Previous experience in a medical setting, preferably in cardiology or with older adults, is highly preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Medical Assistant certification required.

- Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!
Position Requirements:
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and documenting chief complaints

Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and patient care coordination

Perform front and back office duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient records

Administer injections, medications, and perform basic laboratory procedures as directed by providers

Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure patient confidentiality

Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, wellness programs, and follow-up care instructions

Prepare and sanitize exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies according to infection control standards

Monitor inventory and order medical and office supplies as needed

Provide exceptional customer service and the ability to create a welcoming environment for all patients

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
