Responsibilities
- Provide professional patient care
- Evaluate, plan, implement, & document treatment
- Evaluate & treat patients in accordance with the order from the physician
- Provide treatment through therapeutic procedures, and assistive devices
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plan based on patient needs
- Revise treatment plans as needed
- Instruct & collaborate with PTAs regarding treatment procedures
- Establish & educate patients, families, & other caregivers in exercises and therapeutic home programs to be continued following discharge
- Complete documentation & billing in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy, with a degree as follows:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree, if graduated prior to 1/1/2016
- Doctorate of PT required, if graduated after 1/1/2016
- International candidates: must graduate from an accredited school, posses a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in PT
- Doctorate of PT preferred
- Must hold a state license
- CPR certified
- APTA membership preferred
