Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for various construction and mechanical projects. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Civil 3D
- Create schematics, layouts, and technical documentation for construction projects and mechanical designs
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate drawings
- Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, codes, and project requirements
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback or changes in project scope
- Assist in producing 2D animations for project presentations or client proposals
- Maintain organized digital files of all CAD projects for easy access and version control
Experience
- Proven experience with CAD drafting software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and 2D animation tools
- Background in civil engineering, mechanical design, or related fields preferred
- Demonstrated ability to produce detailed schematics and technical drawings for construction or manufacturing projects
- Familiarity with drafting standards and building codes relevant to the industry
- Experience working on construction projects or mechanical systems is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and schematic development
