Diesel Technician/Mechanic

D&L Truck & Trailer Services Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and able to prioritize work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. CDL-A required.
As a key member of our operation, you’ll play an important role in:
- Maintaining and repairing a variety of Class 8 tractors and equipment
- Promoting and upholding a strong safety culture
- Ensuring compliance with D.O.T. regulations
- Delivering excellent service that supports customer satisfaction and retention

Job Requirements:
English oral and written skills are required
Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
Familiar with Detroit, Volvo & Cummins engines 2010 and newer
Class C Drivers License required
Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, and judgment
Ability to lift objects of various shapes up to 75lbs.
Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and other government safety rules & regulations
Class A drivers license required
Professional Certifications a Plus
Transportation Industry Experience & Knowledge a plus
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and select proper course of action for repairs
Perform accurately all phases of vehicle repairs
Must provide your own class 8 Diesel Mechanic tools for tractors/trailers
Remove, clean, repair, reinstall and adjust vehicle components, engine components, air conditioning, driveline, electric/electrical components, brakes/suspension/steering/exhaust and any and all components that need to be maintained.
Ensure work orders are completed in full and detailed
Evaluate completed work prior to the release of the vehicle
Maintain thorough maintenance records
Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, team members, and supervisors
All other duties as assigned
