Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits of revenue streams, ensuring all transactions align with established policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze financial reports, identifying discrepancies or irregularities that could impact revenue recognition or compliance.
- Assist in the implementation and testing of internal controls related to revenue processes, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as finance, various operational departments, and internal audit to facilitate accurate reporting and risk management.
- Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions for management review.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to revenue activities.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting standards including SOX, COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations), and GAAS (Generally Accepted Auditing Standards) is preferred.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis skills to interpret complex data accurately.
- Experience with corporate accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, and tax regulations.
- Knowledge of accounting concepts such as revenue recognition, taxes, and financial concepts like risk management.
- Excellent auditing skills with a focus on internal audits, risk assessment, and control testing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word & Excell.
- Ability to perform detailed analysis using financial management tools while maintaining high attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
