Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Medical Transport Specialist/Driver to join our team! This position provides professional cross-border transportation between San Diego and Tijuana for medical, dental, and wellness appointments. Applicants must be legally able to enter Mexico and return to the United States as part of their job duties. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients, ensuring comfort, professionalism, and exceptional service throughout every trip.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, or personal vehicles for medical transportation needs across local routes.
- Assist passengers with mobility challenges through manual handling techniques, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while adhering strictly to traffic laws and state transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, healthcare facilities, and team members to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and ensure cleanliness of the transportation vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger questions and ensuring a respectful, friendly environment.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or medical equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a chauffeur, rideshare, shuttle, delivery, patient transport, military, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle with current insurance.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Comfortable using GPS, smartphones, and mobile apps.
- Strong customer service, communication, and professionalism.
- Able to assist passengers with light mobility needs and luggage when necessary.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
Compensation
- Starting pay: $142.50 per completed exclusive transportation trip.
- Additional earning opportunities through VIP transportation services, shuttle assignments, performance incentives, and customer tips (tips are appreciated but not guaranteed).
