Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and infection control practices
- Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior, reporting concerns promptly to healthcare professionals
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and heavy lifting when required
- Document care activities accurately, including patient observations, vital signs, and care provided
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and administering medications is advantageous
- Experience with care plans development and execution enhances your ability to deliver personalized support
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is appreciated
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with autism or disabilities, and those requiring long-term or hospice care
