Surgical Veterinary Assistant FT 6:40am-3pm Mon-Thurs, No Fridays, No Wknds!
Full-Time / Part-Time possibility
Broad responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Clinic Maintenance:
- Checking in animal patients, animal care, surgical prep, wellness services, anesthesia and surgical monitoring, surgical recovery, dental cleaning and charting (optional role), cleaning surgical instruments and wrapping packs for autoclaving, pet exams for surgical candidacy, basic cleaning of hospital (cleaning cages, sweeping/mopping, laundry, trash, etc.), lifting animals up to 50lbs, assisting other staff members, discharging, helping with reception when needed
IDEAL CANDIDATE: Ideal candidate is one who is energetic, efficient, eager to help with a variety of tasks, quick and able to keep up with a fast-paced environment, organized, dependable and eager to learn and apply it to a high-demand nonprofit service; one who is motivated to helping rescue organizations and is excited about our non-profit mission to help the community. **Bonus if candidate has dental cleaning experience
