As a Medical Assistant, you'll play an essential role in delivering high-quality care by supporting providers and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.

Welcome and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.

Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and chief complaints.

Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.

Administer medications and immunizations as directed.

Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, EKGs, and other clinical procedures within your scope of practice.

Accurately document patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).

Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.

Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and prescription refill requests.

Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms while maintaining infection control standards.

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.

Collaborate with providers and teammates to ensure efficient clinic operations.

High school diploma or GED.
-
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical experience as permitted by applicable regulations.

Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent) preferred.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate electronic medical records.

One or more years of experience in a primary care or family medicine setting.
